Community
Being in a community and living your life according to the set of rules and guidelines set up by the community is what matters for most of the people. No matter what happens but the idea of going ahead of the community and doing something not considered right by the community people is considered a acrimonious act. And a lot of times these communities take up the form of a stereotypical, conservative and prejudiced group of people who care less about others who do not belong to the community, who do not meet their community guidelines and those who take stand for something that the community itself is wrongly advocating for.
No matter how hard a person try but the process of making such communities see what lies beyond their minimal living standards and their so-called rules, is not an easy task to do at all. Minorities or people who try to blend in the groups with large societal span are a lot of times treated as outsiders, because the mass of any group is made to see and believe that the entire bunch is what part of the world comprise of and others are simply others because they do not look alike, don't talk alike, don't behave in the same way and don't have the same beliefs that their community carries. I am clearly not generalizing this for each and every other person of any particular community but it is true that the majority of them do think this way.
This habit of differentiating and also disintegrating the people of different groups take a very harsh form full of racism and judgemental opinions. A whole lot do this deliberately and others without realising it and there are very few people who are capable enough to see beyond all this and to realise what actually this means. A very recent example would be the killing of George Floyd in United States of America, but that's just not it because it is a global phenomenon, which is present everywhere around the globe starting from east asian communities that is shamed globally and faces discrimination in terms of their way of living. In India itself, the racial discrimination that the north east Indians and the colour discrimination that the South Indians face is prevalent since ages.
People talk about it so casually making statements that feel more like a inbuilt and acquired personality trait. All these are just very few examples of how the community game is being played globally. When we say community, we consider it a group of people with the unique culture traditions and way of living considering and remembering the fact that the entire human population is one and at the same level of hierarchy. This diverse set of culture and traditions that each community holds is for embracing and acknowledging the fact that it is one part of this week human community.
No matter what your skin colour is, it is just a feature of your body not the Identity that you carry. It is the most disgusting and disrespectful act of abusing someone on the basis of their body colour their facial structure, their language or any other component. Each and every person is just as equally important and deserving to be a part of the society like any other person belonging to a big or a large community. The incidents that happened in the past and the incidents that are happening in the present make us realise that we are still a lot lacking behind in understanding what the real problem is. It might be one for now but many happened in the past and more to come in the future if you don't realise where our true understanding of community lies.
