Gotta work it out!

''No matter how hard I try, I just cannot bring myself to do anything productive."
"Things are not working out."
These are some of the most basic responses that I get from my friends and family members, these days. No matter how hard I try to make them understand that this is one of the best time to carve out the best of ourselves but I just cannot force them to comprehend that. Reason is very simple. I am the victim of the same chaos. I feel guilty in give work suggestions to my people because I am myself not following them. What's ironic is that after listening to me, some did started doing something but I am still on the same step. I couldn't bring myself to move ahead. I cannot even crawl. I am just lying there static in search of somebody to force me ahead, to push me to do something. By grace, if someone did pushed me, I end up falling back and not ahead.
It is really difficult to make myself understand that no matter what, I can bring myself to work by means of my own dedication and other's motivation and critics as a catalyst. The catalysts are so diverse that their effect, a lot of times, is varying to great degrees.
For example, suppose your room is unorganised and you suddenly decided to clean it and that too on your own. You started cleaning and suddenly someone came inside, especially your mother and commented on the condition of your room and also suggested you to clean. Now as you were already doing it, getting a comment in form of an order to do the same thing with a negative feedback acted as a negative catalyst resulting in you withdrawing yourself from doing the work. It's a very basic example and easy to understand.
Me, you or anyone out there, has a complex understanding of correlating things occurring in day to day activities to special attention requiring works. Understanding one's way of responding is a very fascinating yet tiring job and why would anyone be doing so to waste their energy and time. But, in reality all of us are on the same page where we consciously or unconsciously do it to have arguments to deliberate on and for comparison.
Nevertheless what I want to say is for all of us to have a designed framefull understanding of how our catalysts work.
Secondly, I want to emphasize on one more thing. Well, I believe that this mindset that we have, concerning our habit of doing something productive might be because of lack of change in frames of existence. We as human beings exist in different frames in our lifetime each with its own distinct identity, sometimes which might be overlapping depending on the situation.
This lockdown has caused a series of continuous lockdown in our ability, need and willingness to shift between frames of existence. Since, these days we are more prone to reside in one or two frames, the habit of residing in different ones is causing mental exhaustion and the strong feeling of boredom.
But having said that, a lot out there are utilising this time not only for things that they want to do but also to try novel things. So, it kind of supports the fact that some ideologies and methods employed by other people might be causing their body to actually move while the absence of something like that with similar or different approach is causing others not to move.

DeleteTargets with deadlines make me go on & on and also the reason why I opted for a particular task..This pandemic is really taking trolls on everybody's life but the idea of rising up immensely for a good cause can make one take over all those fears, insecurities and the unproductive approaches as being at somewhat safe place emotionally I cannot even imagine what's going on with people who are away from their family members or someone you lost his/her loved one..just accept the fact,calm down yourself, meditate and just live your life now because somewhere this pandemic directly or indirectly has to say something that there was something really wrong and that too was with our EXPECTATIONS.

ReplyDeletei guess, keeping a mental well being is more important than reaching or completing goals. everyone is experiencing different levels of stress lately and none of them could be ruled out because we don't consider them as stress. so yes productivity is important but i feel being and feeling mentally well is also important.
