You and me.

Together we are,

Each other's soul.

For us to hold.

You take one step,

I take one exact.

You take one back,

To find me where I am at.

Maybe I am no where to find,

Maybe I am at the turning.

You need to know,

Why I am walking too slow.

Well you need me,

I am right there.

You wanna dominate me,

I might disappear.

Your dominance is a key,

And I am the lock.

The door opens,

And make me realise my flock.

Maybe you are not the one,

Maybe I am not the one.

Let us decide together,

Whether or not we'll stay forever.

You were true to me,

You are true to me.

Maybe you'll stay the same.

But who knows,

What the future holds.

I wish our friendship stays long,

I wish we cross all hurdles.

I wish we break in between,

To realise our friendship's potential.

A friend in need,

Is a friend in deed.

Who'll justify that,

For us to understand the fact.

Maybe we don't need justification,

Maybe we need association.

And eventually we'll realise,

Which way our fate sides.

Well, the true meaning behind friendship is the core of this relationship. 

Acquaintances and societal mates are not categorised as friends. They are known people but friends are those people who gain one's trust, love, hate, affection, mood swings, secrets and what not.

The idea of people calling half of the society as their friend is like a statement to hide the fact of having no true friend at all. The amount of time we spend with our friends and the amount of sharing happens, no matter in what form, is always one of the greatest amount of sharing in this emotional world. 

The connectivity and the comfortability is tremendously intimate and can not seen in any other form of active relationship.
